Baseball Recap: Methacton Takes a Loss

Methacton was the 2-0 winner over Phoenixville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Methacton fell just short of Phoenixville by a score of 7-6 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Methacton and nudges their season record down to 3-2. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Phoenixville, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Methacton will challenge rival Perkiomen Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Phoenixville is set to take on their familiar foe Owen J. Roberts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
