Football Recap: Crismon Piles Up the Points Against ALA - Mesa North

There's no place like home for Crismon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 40-6 victory over the ALA - Mesa North Mavericks. With that win, the Rattlers brought their scoring average up to 26.2 points per game.

It was another big night for Walker Higbee, who rushed for 119 yards and three scores on only 11 carries. Crismon is 2-1 when Higbee posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Velarde, who rushed for 99 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Crismon's run defense was locked in: ALA - Mesa North could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The Rattlers' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.9 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.83 on average over their last five games.

The victory got Crismon back to even at 3-3. As for ALA - Mesa North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Crismon will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against ALA - Ironwood at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Higbee and Shawn Hinchcliff. As for ALA - Mesa North, they will be playing at home against Coolidge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
