Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-12 to make it four. They fell just short of the Southeast Pirates by a score of 2-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Thursday.

As for Southeast, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For Southeast's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liv Bragg, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southeast, they will face off against Keystone at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
