Soccer Game Preview: Shelbyville Central vs. Station Camp

The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles will take on the Station Camp Bison in a tournament on Friday. Shelbyville Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Shelbyville Central proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by four) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Arlington, sneaking past 1-0. Shelbyville Central's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Station Camp made easy work of Holy Spirit Prep on Thursday and carried off a 5-1 win. Considering Station Camp have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Station Camp has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-1-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Shelbyville Central, their record is now 6-1-1.

Shelbyville Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Station Camp when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
