East was the 59-35 winner over Skyline when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The East Leopards took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyline Eagles on Friday. While the Leopards didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 14-8 in the first quarter.

Several Leopards players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Lunt, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Schneider, who posted 12 points.

It was another big night for Andrew Lindquist, who went 7 for 14 en route to 25 points along with seven boards and four steals for Skyline. The dominant performance gave Lindquist a new career-high in steals. James Bekker was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

East's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Skyline, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
