Soccer Game Preview: Tustin vs. Westminster

The Tustin Tillers will head out on the road to square off against the Westminster Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tustin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Tustin didn't have quite enough to beat Sunny Hills and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Tillers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 835th, while the Lancers are ranked 309th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westminster, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rancho Alamitos a 3-0 shutout on Friday.

Tustin's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Westminster, they pushed their record up to 5-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
