Hayden Brimer was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-6 with two stolen bases and one run.

Brimer wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Lindelof, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. Those three hits gave Lindelof a new career-high. Another was Colton Luce, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one double.

Belfast kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Old Town). They put the hurt on Caribou with a sharp 13-3 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Coyotes with their most commanding win of the season.

Like Belfast, Old Town also got a great game from a two-way player: Julian Duty. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Duty has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Nate Baker and Alex McCannell did most of the damage at the plate: Baker went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles, while McCannell went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run marked the first that McCannell has launched this season. Carter Osnoe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Belfast's record now sits at 11-5. As for Old Town, their record is now 9-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Belfast has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Old Town struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Belfast came up short against Old Town in their previous meeting back in June of 2016, falling 3-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
