Baseball Recap: Athens Wildcats vs. Towanda Black Knights
Athens won the last time they faced Towanda, and things went their way on Friday too. The Athens Wildcats walked away with a 6-3 win over the Towanda Black Knights.
Nick Jacob and Nick Grazul were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Jacob pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Grazul struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Jacob has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Jacob scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Grazul went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run, and a double.
