Basketball Game Preview: Morris Redskins vs. Sycamore Spartans

Morris is 1-9 against Sycamore since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Morris Redskins will face off against the Sycamore Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Sycamore took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Morris, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, everything went Morris' way against Wilmington as Morris made off with a 45-21 victory. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sycamore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Kaneland and fell 57-29. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Knights are ranked 78th).

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Morris, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 23-5 record this season.

Morris was able to grind out a solid win over Sycamore in their previous matchup back in January, winning 55-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morris since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
