East Greenwich had won two straight games and Rees Maccarone did his part to make it three on Monday. The East Greenwich Avengers came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 62-57 W against the Chariho Chargers thanks in part to Maccarone, who posted 30 points. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Chariho's loss came despite strong showings from Aidan Rice and Brendan Gleason. Rice had 22 points, while Gleason went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Gleason a new career-high in points. Dayton Lee was another key player, putting up seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.

East Greenwich's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Chariho, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, East Greenwich will welcome Woonsocket at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Greenwich is facing Woonsocket at the right time seeing as Woonsocket is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Chariho, they will head out to face off against Coventry at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
