Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for El Toro

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only El Toro walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Laguna Blanca Owls 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since March 1st.

El Toro wouldn't go down easily and took Laguna Blanca into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 17-25, 25-15, 15-13.

The victory was the fourth in a row for El Toro, bringing their record up to 17-15. As for Laguna Blanca, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.

After both having extra time off, El Toro and Quartz Hill will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. Laguna Blanca does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
