Soccer Game Preview: Portales vs. Goddard

Portales hasn't had much luck against Goddard recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rams will welcome the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Portales and Lovington, and Lovington kept the tradition alive. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Goddard fought the good fight in their overtime match against Artesia on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Goddard have lost by just one goal.
