Basketball Recap: Eldon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Eldon came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 65-57 win over the Blair Oaks Falcons on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Eldon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karlie Wood, who shot 46% from the field on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Wood a new career-high. Kaydin Davis was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 16 points along with five assists and five steals.

Eldon now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Blair Oaks, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Eldon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-57 victory against Hallsville on the 16th. Blair Oaks has also already played their next game (against Versailles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
