South Pemiscot scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caruthersville Tigers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 15, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Parker Carlisle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

South Pemiscot's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Caruthersville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Pemiscot will venture away from home to square off against Malden at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Caruthersville, they will head out on the road to take on Delta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.27 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
