            Baseball Recap: Homer-Center Wildcats vs. River Valley Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Homer-Center proved they can win big  last Saturday (they won by six) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the River Valley Panthers  6-5. The  victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three  contests in a row.

  Braden Dunn made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he posted two  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs. That  home run was  his first of the season.
Homer-Center's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for River Valley,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
Homer-Center will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
