Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Liberty

Liberty entered their tilt with Easton Area on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They had just enough and edged the Easton Area Rovers out 38-36. Given the Hurricanes' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Rovers are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Rovers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyshaun Dunlap, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Saboor Houser, who had eight points.

Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Easton Area, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

Liberty will square off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Easton Area, they will welcome Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
