Volleyball Recap: Chalmette Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bonnabel on Tuesday, Chalmette came back down to earth. The Owls lost 3-0 to the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.

Ava Landry had an outrageously good game for Archbishop Chapelle as she had 21 digs and three aces. Landry is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Frey, who had ten digs and two aces.

Chalmette's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Archbishop Chapelle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-10.

Chalmette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy on the 17th. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Dunham on the 17th.
