Basketball Game Preview: Marion Warriors vs. Remington Broncos

The Marion Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Remington Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Marion is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Council Grove on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Marion lost 66-44 to Council Grove. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Braves are ranked 93rd).

Remington has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against Ell-Saline on Saturday, falling 54-31.

Remington's loss dropped their record down to 9-3-2. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Things could have been worse for Marion, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-35 loss to Remington in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Marion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
