Volleyball Recap: South Fort Myers Falls to Babcock in First Game of Season

South Fort Myers had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Babcock Trailblazers, falling 3-0. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Trailblazers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why South Fort Myers lost, don't look at Jerzi Nace. Despite the final result, she had six aces and five digs.

Babcock found their leader in sophomore Lilly Palmeri, who had eight digs and two assists.

Babcock pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

South Fort Myers has already played their next contest (against Mariner), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Babcock, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
