Volleyball Recap: Prentice Beats Chequamegon for Their Fourth Straight Win

Prentice entered their tilt with Chequamegon on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Screaming Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Buccaneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Prentice never let Chequamegon on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Leading Prentice to victory were Piper Heikkinen and Luca Blomberg. Heikkinen had nine digs and one assist, while Blomberg had three digs and one assist.

Prentice's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Chequamegon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prentice will venture away from home to challenge Thorp at 5:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Chequamegon, they will head out to take on Butternut at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Screaming Eagles are facing the Midgets at the right time seeing as the Midgets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
