Maynard's last matchup with Armorel could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. Maynard lost 10-3 to Armorel. Maynard's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ava Melton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Laken West was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Maynard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Armorel, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, Maynard is taking a road trip to challenge Marked Tree at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Armorel, they will be playing at home against Blytheville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
