Basketball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 63-52 to the Northeast Bradford Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 57-50 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Canton lost, don't look at Ben Fitch. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. Talin Williams was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Canton was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Canton now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Northeast Bradford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Canton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-48 defeat against North Penn-Liberty on the 9th. As for Northeast Bradford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-33 loss against Sayre on the 9th.
