Basketball Recap: Fryeburg Takes a Loss

Fryeburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots 63-25. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Patriots are ranked 19th).

Fryeburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Gray-New Gloucester, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

While Fryeburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
