Football Recap: Nettleton Takes a Loss

Nettleton and Lakeside squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nettleton had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Lakeside Rams on the road and fell 42-7. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Maddox Hampton threw for 134 yards and a touchdown. Fred Adkins was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Grady Ohman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 219 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry for Lakeside. Ohman's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 14th straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Nettleton's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lakeside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Nettleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside, they will take on Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Lakeside surely won't give up without a fight.
