Football Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short on the Road Against Pierce + How To Watch

Aurora kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 27-21 to the Pierce Bluejays. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost three in a row.

Aurora lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Wyatt Pollet, who threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 81 yards. 131 of Pollet's passing yards were hauled in by Canon Allen, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Kaiden Fritz went supernova For Pierce., rushing for 235 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Fritz was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Theisen, who rushed for 61 yards and one TD.

Looking ahead, Aurora will take on McCook on Friday. As for Pierce, they will square off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
