Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost against Brawley last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-3. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Brawley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Central will welcome Calexico at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brawley, they will head out to challenge Holtville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
