Basketball Game Preview: Bagdad Sultans vs. Salome Frogs

Bagdad hasn't had much luck against Salome recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Sultans will challenge the Frogs at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Salome will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bagdad extended their winning streak to six last Monday. The Sultans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ash Fork 57-22. The Sultans pushed the score to 55-11 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Salome scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maryvale Prep.

Salome's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bagdad, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything came up roses for Bagdad against Salome in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 58-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sultans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
