Volleyball Recap: Laguna Beach Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Laguna Beach won the last time they faced El Toro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Laguna Beach Breakers came out on top against the El Toro Chargers by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21.

Kai Patchell paced Laguna Beach's offense, picking up 22 kills. Patchell got some help from Ben Goodwin and his 49 assists. Patchell was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Laguna Beach's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for El Toro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Laguna Beach will take on St. Margaret's at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for El Toro, they will be playing at home against Capistrano Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
