Upperman came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the White House Blue Devils.

Chris Wirsing spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rookie Allison, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Upperman pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for White House, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Upperman will look to defend their home field on Monday against DeKalb County at 5:30 p.m. As for White House, they are taking a road trip to square off against Portland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
