Basketball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Cambridge Bluejays and fell 82-47. The matchup marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

River Valley moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Cambridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Valley will take on Wisconsin Heights in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cambridge and Columbus will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Cambridge likes a good challenge.
