Softball Preview: Deuel Cardinals vs. Sisseton Redmen        
        
		
            
 Deuel is 3-0 against Sisseton since May of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Deuel Cardinals will look to defend their home field  against the Sisseton Redmen at 4:00  p.m. The timing is sure in Deuel's favor as the  squad sits on three straight wins at home while Sisseton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
 Deuel is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Tuesday, just like they did against Milbank (and have done all season long). Deuel blew past Milbank 10-1.
  Katrina Hagberg was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Hagberg has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Hagberg was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Hope Bjerke was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Rylynn Streich, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Sisseton's offense. They lost  12-0 to Hankinson back in April. Having soared to a lofty 12  runs in the game before, Sisseton's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Deuel is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. As for Sisseton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Everything went Deuel's way against Sisseton when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 as Deuel made off with  a  15-0 win. Will Deuel repeat their success,  or does  Sisseton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
