Softball Recap: Mars Comes Up Short at Home Against Ellwood City

Mars unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Ellwood City Wolverine on Tuesday, falling 19-2.

Laura Craska made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Allie Walukiewicz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mars will square off against Southmoreland at 3:45 p.m. on March 18th. As for Ellwood City, they will challenge Laurel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
