Basketball Recap: Jaylen Weaver's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northside Christian Academy over Heathwood Hall Episcopal

Northside Christian Academy was the 63-57 winner over Heathwood Hall Episcopal when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Northside Christian Academy Crusaders lost to the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders at home by a 64-47 margin on Tuesday.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylen Weaver, who posted 11 points and three steals. Weaver is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Hilton Dessausure was another key player, putting up 11 points.

It was another big night for Tristen McCleary, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards for Heathwood Hall Episcopal. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Pertile, who scored seven points and 13 rebounds.

Northside Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, their record now sits at 15-8.

Northside Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-63 victory against Cardinal Newman on the 6th. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-43 defeat against Hammond on the 7th.
