Baseball Recap: Geneva Has No Trouble Against Glenbard East

Geneva had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Glenbard East on Saturday. The Vikings blew past the Rams 11-4. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

Miles Dibble made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Dibble was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Tate Beran was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Mason Bruesch was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Geneva always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Geneva's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Glenbard East, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
