Baseball Game Preview: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Borah Lions

The Ridgevue Warhawks will square off against the Borah Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ridgevue fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Boise on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Chance Schreiber and Dante Brinegar did some serious damage despite the final result: Schreiber went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Brinegar went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Brinegar's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Borah fell victim to Owyhee and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Storm, falling 11-0. The Lions have struggled against the Storm recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Borah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Gross, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Ridgevue has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season. As for Borah, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Ridgevue beat Borah 4-0 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
