Volleyball Recap: Western Branch Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Western Branch was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lakeland on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins came up short against the Hickory Hawks on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-14, 27-25, 26-24.

Western Branch's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Hickory, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Western Branch will challenge Menchville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
