Preview: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Chase Kats
The Cimarron Bluejays will head out on the road to face off against the Chase Kats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cimarron is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Cimarron suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Sunrise Christian Academy Silver 65-27. Cimarron was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Chase, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were dealt a 74-13 loss at the hands of Central Plains on Monday. While losing is never fun, Chase can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Central Plains is ranked 84th).
Cimarron has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Chase, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
