Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pomona). They came out on top against the Whitney Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Pomona's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Whitney, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pomona will host Walnut at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Workman at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
