Softball Recap: Ruston Takes a Loss

Ruston lost against Airline back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bearcats fell 10-5 to the Vikings. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morgan Foster was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two triples, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Stoehr, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Ruston's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Airline, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Ruston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Airline, they will take on Calvary Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
