Softball Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Sequoia Ravens        
        
		
            The Gunn Titans will take on the Sequoia Ravens at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The  teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gunn has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Sequoia will arrive with four straight  wins.
Gunn lost  20-9 to Homestead on Tuesday.
  Makena Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile, Sequoia was able to grind out a solid  victory over Menlo-Atherton on Tuesday, taking the game  7-4.
 Jada Crockett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 11 batters over  6.2 innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mehta Nisha, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  double.  Elkington Jamie was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run.
 Sequoia's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-7. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Gunn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
 Everything went Gunn's way against Sequoia in their previous meeting  back in April of 2015, as Gunn made off with  a  15-1 win. Do  the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
