Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Panthers vs. Okeechobee Brahmans

The Heritage Panthers will face off against the Okeechobee Brahmans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Okeechobee will be up against a hot Heritage team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Panthers put the hurt on Titusville with a sharp 13-2 victory on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Ryan Pattee, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Heritage's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Gonzalez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Titusville only posted an OBP of .200.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Okeechobee walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Panthers on Monday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Brahmans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Ruben Gurrero was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

The win got Okeechobee back to even at 11-11. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
