Baseball Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Palisades Dolphins, falling 13-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Toreadors of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Palisades, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taft will venture away from home to square off against Chaminade at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Palisades, they will head out on the road to face off against Verdugo Hills at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
