Recap: McCallie Blue Tornado vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The McCallie Blue Tornado put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Notre Dame 48-29. Given McCallie's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Notre Dame is ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading McCallie to victory were Kenneth Chime and Parker Robison. Chime dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Robison scored 18 points along with 5 steals. The game was Robison's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ryan Wingard was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
McCallie has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 7-0 record. As for Notre Dame, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
McCallie will head out on the road to face off against Pope John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pope John Paul II's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Notre Dame, they will play host again and welcome Boyd-Buchanan, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
