Vinton and Lake Arthur are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Vinton Lions are on the road again on Thursday to play the Lake Arthur Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Vinton will be strutting in after a victory while Lake Arthur will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, Vinton beat Grand Lake 13-8.
Meanwhile, Lake Arthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of DeQuincy by a score of 9-7.
Addison Abshire was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Sketoe, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.
Vinton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. As for Lake Arthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
