Basketball Game Preview: Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs vs. Amber-Pocasset Panthers

Fort Cobb-Broxton is 6-0 against Amber-Pocasset since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Amber-Pocasset Panthers at 8:00 p.m. Fort Cobb-Broxton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Fort Cobb-Broxton came up short against Central and fell 49-38.

Meanwhile, Amber-Pocasset strolled past Alex with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-34. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Longhorns are ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amber-Pocasset's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Fort Cobb-Broxton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Fort Cobb-Broxton was able to grind out a solid victory over Amber-Pocasset in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 69-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Cobb-Broxton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
