Basketball Recap: Wapsie Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Columbus last Friday, Wapsie Valley came back down to earth. The Wapsie Valley Warriors were outmatched by the Jesup J-Hawks and fell 52-25. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the J-Hawks are ranked 74th).

Wapsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Jesup, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Wapsie Valley will head out on the road to face off against Union at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Jesup, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Oelwein at 6:15 p.m.
