Soccer Recap: Skyridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Skyridge couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the American Fork Cavemen by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. One reason for the loss might be Skyridge's aggressive play style: Kai Hamilton and Hunter Rowe were both handed yellow cards.

Skyridge's goal came courtesy of Christian Poll, who's now up to 14 this season.

Skyridge's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for American Fork, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Skyridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American Fork, they will square off against Bingham at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Bingham will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something American Fork surely won't give up without a fight.
