Baseball Game Preview: Chesapeake Panthers vs. Rock Hill Redmen

Chesapeake is 2-7 against Rock Hill since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Redmen at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chesapeake is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 17-5 to South Point. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 8, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Kaiden Perkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, Rock Hill might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Ironton who claimed the real prize. The Redmen came up short against the Fighting Tigers, falling 10-2.

Rock Hill has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Chesapeake, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1.
