Baseball Recap: Depew Wins Going Away Against Lake Shore

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Depew nor Lake Shore made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Wildcats blew past the Eagles 12-4. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Jacob Scibetta was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Spruch, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Depew's record is now 7-3. As for Lake Shore, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Depew beat the Eagles by a score of 12-4 on Friday.
