Basketball Recap: Arcadia Comes Up Short

Arcadia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-27 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains. The Redskins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chieftains from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Arcadia's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Hopewell-Loudon, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcadia has already played their next matchup (against Upper Scioto Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hopewell-Loudon will venture away from home to square off against New Riegel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Riegel will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hopewell-Loudon surely won't give up without a fight.
